Terms of use
Last updated 1 November 2026
These terms apply when you use Jeyb, provided by Elio Al Rahy (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them.
What Jeyb is
Jeyb is a tool for recording your own spending, balances, budgets and IOUs. It does not hold, move or invest money, and it does not connect to banks. Exchange rates are the ones you enter.
Not financial advice
Totals and reports reflect what you record. They are not financial, tax or accounting advice.
Your password and backup key
Your records are encrypted with keys that only your password and your backup key unlock. Keep both safe. If you lose both, we cannot restore your records.
Your data
Your records belong to you. You can export them as CSV at any time and delete your account in the app. See the privacy page for what we store.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service, attempt to access other people’s data, or interfere with its operation. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and changes
Jeyb is currently free. We try to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or stop features. If we plan to charge for Jeyb or shut it down, we will tell you by email in advance so you can export your records. If we change these terms, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app.
Liability
Jeyb is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by records you enter, a lost password and backup key, or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Lebanon have jurisdiction over disputes, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
