This page explains what Jeyb stores and who can read it. Jeyb is operated by Elio Al Rahy, an individual based in Lebanon (“we”).

What is encrypted

Your accounts, transactions, budgets, settings and unfinished drafts are encrypted on your device, in the browser or the Jeyb app, before they are uploaded. They are decrypted only on a device where you enter your password. The keys that unlock them are never sent to us. Your password is sent to Supabase over an encrypted connection so you can sign in, and is stored there only as a hash. We cannot recover your records without your password or your backup key.

While you finish setting up a new account, we briefly store an unencrypted starter profile: a display name based on your email address and an empty account with a zero balance. It is replaced by your encrypted records when setup finishes. It never contains transactions.

What we can see

• Your email address and the dates you signed up and signed in.
• The number and size of your encrypted records, and when they change.
• Technical logs kept by our hosting and database providers, such as IP addresses and request times.

Before you create an account

If you start tracking without an account, what you enter stays in that browser tab and is not sent to us. Closing the tab deletes it.

What we don’t do

• We don’t connect to your bank or move money.
• We don’t sell your data or show ads.
• We don’t use analytics or tracking cookies.

Service providers

Sign-in and encrypted storage are provided by Supabase. The website is served by Vercel. They process data on our behalf, and their servers may be outside your country. Your financial records reach them only in encrypted form.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your account and encrypted records until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the Jeyb app under Settings. This permanently deletes your sign-in and all of your encrypted records. Copies in our providers’ backups are removed as those backups expire, and provider logs are kept for the periods set by those providers. You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing support@jeyb.app.

Your rights

You can see and export your records as CSV at any time, correct them in the app, and delete your account. To ask what we hold about you, correct your email address or make a complaint, email support@jeyb.app. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes

If we change this page, we will update the date above. For significant changes, we will also tell you by email or in the app.
